Concrete ballasted, metal floating roofs on municipal digesters are prone to allow methane to escape. In today’s energy conscious paradigm, quasar’s installation of either a fixed aluminum domed gas-holder roof or a flexible, double membrane gas-holder roof can operate at generally the same pressure, while maintaining a gas tight installation. Cocking of the roof, or troubles when the metal tracks get hung up, can be eliminated by replacing it with either of the quasar roofs, resulting in less lifetime maintenance costs.
If upgrades are required to improve overall digester operational efficiency, quasar offers a full suite of design, construction, and commissioning services to provide upgrades and improvements.
