quasar energy group can manage your organic residuals via anaerobic digestion, a sustainable process that diverts material from landfills and incinerators while generating renewable energy and capturing greenhouse gases.
Types of Material Managed
Biosolids: Biosolids are the nutrient-rich organic materials resulting from the treatment of domestic sewage in a wastewater treatment facility.
Manure: Manure from farms and/or livestock operations.
Food waste: Food waste generated by regional food processors in either liquid, semi-solids, or solid forms, including depackaging.
FOG (Fats, Oils, and Grease): FOG are energy rich hydrocarbon chains that produce a large volume of biogas. FOG represents a particular challenge to collection system operators at municipal treatment plants, a number of which have restricted acceptance of FOG.
Energy Crops: Crops grown specifically for the production of energy. Also included in this category are off-spec/damaged agricultural products such as grain, hay, silage, spilled/soiled feed, stover, etc.
Biodiesel and Ethanol Production Byproducts: The organic byproducts of bio-based fuel production, are stillage and glycerin. Both are excellent sources of biogas when anaerobically digested. OEPA has determined that similarly generated glycerin sources fall into this preapproved category
